## Math Learning Goals: Fractions

3.3C- explain that the unit fraction 1/b represents the quantity formed by one part of a whole that has been partitioned into b equal parts where b is a non-zero whole number

3.3D- compose and decompose a fraction a/b with a numerator greater than zero and less than or equal to b as a sum of parts 1/b

3.3E- solve problems involving partitioning an object or set of objects among two or more recipients using pictorial representations of fractions with denominators of 2, 3, 4, 6, and 8.

- Math homework is sent home on Fridays and is due back the following Thursday. Homework will be due on Thursday, February 4.
- Please study your
**MULTIPLICATION FACTS. 0’s, 1’s, 2’s, 3’s , 5’s, 6’s, 7’s, 8’s, 9’s and 10’s.**We will have a Mad Minute on Thursday. Students will have one minute to solve 30 multiplication facts. This is not for a grade. We will set goals each week to improve fact fluency.

3.8B – Describe and illustrate the Sun as a star composed of gases that provides light and thermal energy.

3.8C – Construct models that demonstrate the Sun, Earth and moon including orbits and positions.

3.8D – Identify the planets in Earth solar system and their position in relation to the Sun.
