Math Learning Goals: AREA
3.6C Determine the area of rectangles with whole numbers side lengths in problems using multiplication related to the number of rows times the number of unit squares in each row.
3.6D Decompose composite figures formed by rectangles into non-overlapping rectangles to determine the area of the original figures using the additive property of area.
MATH HOMEWORK IS DUE FRIDAY, MARCH 22. THIS WILL BE PASSED OUT ON TUESDAY, MARCH 19. THIS IS REQUIRED FOR ALL STUDENTS. PARENTS, I’M ASKING THAT YOU CHECK OVER AND HELP WITH CORRECTIONS AS NEEDED THEN SIGN AT THE BOTTOM. SOME STUDENTS ARE STILL STRUGGLING WITH THESE SKILLS AND CHECKING OVER THEIR HOMEWORK IS A GREAT WAY FOR YOU TO STAY INFORMED.
Study multiplication facts (all) and record on log. Logs will be checked Friday. Please have a minimum of 3 nights of practice! Mad Minutes for the 3rd Nine Weeks will be an averaged grade in the grade book.
Science Learning Goals: ECOSYSTEMS
3.9A Observe and describe the physical characteristics of environments and how they support populations and communities of plants and animals within an ecosystem.
3.9B Identify and describe the flow of energy in a food chain and predict how changes in a food chain affect the ecosystem such as removal of frogs from a pond or bees from a field.
3.9C Describe environmental changes such as floods and droughts where some organisms thrive and other perish or move to locations.
