Spring Pictures Next Monday (Please Read)

PICTURE DAY IS MONDAY, MARCH 29th! New way to do pictures: Students will get their picture taken ONLY IF they have money in hand OR have an online picture code to show proof of online purchase. This is new this year, per Lifetouch Pictures. Notes will be coming home today with general information. Payment envelopes will come home this week. There is a customer service number on the general information page if you have any questions. Thanks so much!

Math Learning Goals:  Area

3.6C Determine the area of rectangles with whole numbers side lengths in problems using multiplication related to the number of rows times the number of unit squares in each row.

3.6D Decompose composite figures formed by rectangles into non-overlapping rectangles to determine the area of the original figures using the additive property of area.

Math Homework: 

If you accepted the MATH MYSTERY CHALLENGE – THIS IS DUE Monday, MARCH 22nd!

1. No math homework was passed out before Spring Break.  We will pass out math homework on Friday, March 26 and it will be due the following Thursday, April 1st.
2. Please study your MULTIPLICATION FACTS. We will have a Mad 2 Minutes on Thursday.  Students will have two minutes to solve 30 multiplication facts. This is for a grade this week. We will average all the Mad Minutes we take during this 9 weeks for one grade in the grade book

Science Learning Goals: Choice Board on Spiral Skills

3.1A demonstrate safe practices as described in Texas Education Agency-approved safety standards during classroom and outdoor investigations using safety equipment as appropriate, including safety goggles or chemical splash goggles, as appropriate, and gloves; and

3.3C connect grade-level appropriate science concepts with the history of science, science careers, and contributions of scientists.

Math Learning Goals:  3D Shapes

3.6A(R)- classify and sort two- and three- dimensional figures, including cones, cylinders, spheres, triangular and rectangular prisms, and cubes based on attributes using formal geometric language

3.6B(S)- use attributes to recognize rhombuses, parallelograms, trapezoids, rectangles, and squares as examples of quadrilaterals and draw examples of quadrilaterals that do not belong to any of these subcategories

Math Homework:
