Math Learning Goals:  2D & 3D Shapes

3.6A(R)- classify and sort two- and three-dimensional figures, including cones, cylinders, spheres, triangular and rectangular prisms, and cubes, based on attributes using formal geometric language.

3.6B(S)- use attributes to recognize rhombuses, parallelograms, trapezoids, rectangles, and squares as examples of quadrilaterals and draw examples of quadrilaterals that do not belong to any of these subcategories.

Math Homework:
1. Math homework is sent home on Fridays and is due back the following Thursday. Homework will be due on Thursday, March 4.
2. Please study your MULTIPLICATION FACTS. We will have a Mad 2 Minutes on Thursday. Students will have two minutes to solve 30 multiplication facts. This is not for a grade this week. However, in the future this will be for a grade in the grade book. Please be studying! We will set goals each week to improve fact fluency.

Science Learning Goals: Food Chains

3.9B – identify and describe the flow of energy in a food chain and predict how changes in a food chain affect the ecosystem such as removal of frogs from a pond or bees from a field.
